Most of the beans weren't ground. I had this one as a back-up to my Starbucks Barista grinder which died when the blades broke. It feels cheap and was cheap. This one worked exactly two times. The second time it didn't even work that well. It came as a *bonus* with the Cuisinart coffeemaker we bought which also is a shoddy product. No more Cuisinart products in this household.
All but the Cuisinart leave some beans unground and/or leave an annoying amount of residue in the grinder. Great coffee grinder. I have tried several coffee grinders. Aesthetically pleasing style. Cord storage inadequate and awkward to use.
Grounds tend to get caught all over. Bought this $10 unit as a back up to my Mr Coffee grinder that is almost 10 yrs old. The 18-month warranty is a joke, as it would cost almost as much as a new unit to ship and get 'processed'. Well this Cuisinart lasted less than 6 months (maybe used 10 times). The unit is noisier than my old Mr Coffee grinder, and messier. I thought Cuisinart was a quality brand but guess you get what you pay for. Skip this item and look for a better quality product.
I had bought for my wife for purpose of grind spices is works well and is fully stainless steel blade too so she like it.
I am very satisfied with this Cuisinart product. Not only is the color great, but the rpm is slower than other grinders, making it much quieter. The metal reservoir is of higher quality and all of the ground coffee easily tumbles into the lid.I would recommend this product to everyone.
